Rankk may use your email address to help you sign in or verify your identity.
Anyone who gains access to your email may be able to view sign-in messages or verification codes.
To protect your email:
- Use a strong and unique password.
- Do not reuse the same password across several services.
- Turn on the security features offered by your email provider.
- Review unfamiliar sign-ins or devices.
- Keep your recovery email and phone number current.
- Sign out of devices you no longer use.

Your phone may provide access to Rankk and your financial information.

- Device-finding and remote-lock features
Do not leave an unlocked phone where another person can access it.
Use only the official Rankk app and website
Download Rankk only through its official download page or verified app-store listing.
Be careful with:
- Unofficial download links
- Unexpected email attachments
- Messages asking you to install another app
- Websites that copy Rankk’s name or design
- Requests to provide financial login information outside the normal connection process
Use the official Rankk website at rankk.me and open Rankk through the official app listing for your device.
Connect accounts only through the official process
Rankk uses Plaid for most financial account connections. Some institutions may use their own direct connection service.
Only enter financial institution credentials inside the official connection window opened through Rankk.
Before continuing, check that:
- You started the connection inside Rankk.
- The correct financial institution is shown.
- The request matches the account you are trying to connect.
- You understand which accounts and information you are approving.

Keep your financial institution accounts secure
The security of your connected bank, card, loan, and investment accounts is also important.
Follow the security guidance provided by each financial institution.
You should:
- Use strong and unique credentials.
- Review security alerts.
- Keep contact information current.
- Check recent transactions.
- Report unauthorized activity quickly.
- Never share one-time verification codes.
Rankk cannot change your bank password, lock a bank account, replace a payment card, or dispute a transaction.
Contact the financial institution directly for those actions.
Review connected accounts
Regularly review the accounts connected to Rankk.
Check for:
- An institution you do not recognize
- An account you no longer use
- A connection that needs attention
- An account showing information that belongs to someone else
- A connection you no longer want Rankk to include

Be careful when sharing screenshots
Screenshots may reveal more information than you intend.
Before sharing one, check for:

- Other personal information
Crop or hide details that are not needed to explain the issue.
Never share:
- Passwords
- PINs
- Full account numbers
- Complete card numbers
- Card security codes
- Social Security numbers
- One-time verification codes
Watch for suspicious messages
Be careful with messages that:
- Ask for your Rankk sign-in code
- Ask for your financial institution password
- Demand urgent action
- Threaten to close or freeze your account
- Ask you to move money
- Ask you to install software
- Send you to an unfamiliar website
- Claim you won a prize or refund
- Request full account or card information

If you receive a Rankk verification or sign-in code you did not request:

An unexpected code does not always mean someone entered your account, but it should not be ignored.

Also keep your phone’s operating system current when your device supports the update.
Download updates only through verified app-store or official Rankk routes.

Contact Rankk support promptly when you notice:
- A connected account you do not recognize
- Financial information belonging to another person
